The Meet Market: my review

Today i went to Technopolis Gazi (Athens) to "meet" the Meet Market. I stayed there about 3 hours and photographed all the designers and stands. I really tried this time not to be mean, so i am not posting the craps that "designers" where showing around.
But among all these awful clothes and accessories, i found three interesting "meeting" points:
first, it was Katerina Alexandraki and her label "Sooo..!". I really liked her personal style and of course the punk, yet chic attitude of her clothes (see pictures below). We had the chance to talk for a while and i asked her about her presence at the upcoming Athens fashion week. She will probably (not for sure though) show her new collection there like she did last season, as she confessed to me. I found a heart brooch made of wool for myself in order to pay tribute to St. Valentine's day coming in two days.
The second interesting spot was George's stand and his "Treasure House". He is a retailer of brands like Dolce&Gabbana, Yves Saint Lauren and Valentino in Greece, yet he only chooses clothes between 50s and 70s. He loves vintage style, that's why! But you will have the chance to see for yourselves in pictures below.
Last but not least was Ma Li Ya and her handmade accessories. She had the brilliant idea of combing semi-valued stones with steel or metal in earings, bracelets, shoes and rings. She is playing with casino marks in order to create a more casual, yet unique look on her pieces. My friend bought a fabulous ring from her.
The rest stay in piece (aka in my i-photo library)...

Hey great review as always..I am attending today, so I guess you will be reading mine tomorrow :) Seems like you had a blast and met lots of interesting people. I am writing down their names, so I could visit with the girls. Nice photos too. It's a pitty that you went yesterday though, because we could have met :/

Thank you for your comments Stephanie! don't miss the three stands i was writing about (the rest are crap for me). I was about to come today again in order to meet and chat but i received an invitation from Lena Katsanidou to attend the fashion bazaar at Syntagma. So, i guess i will go there in order to blog about this event made for charity reasons, as long as i have already seen and blogged about Meet Market. Have a nice day there girl!!

"The Meet Market" my review of your review:
Dear PoshFashion,
If you are indeed looking for posh fashion, I dont think the Meet Market is your venue. The whole concept behind MM is the handmade, the DIY, the little guys who are trying hard to make and create without big budgets and fancy labels. Whether you esteem them as "designers" is besides the point. They are designers because they do design, and put a lot of hard work into what they make. Calling it "awful" and "crap", although you are of course entitled to your opinion, is disregarding everybody's effort and spirit. As the saying goes, its always easy to be a critic.

If they design something, this makes them designers or "designers", and that makes bloggers able to judge them. That's our job :) Besides this, handmade and DIY staff doesn't mean you can make craps or awful things without being judged. I have seen many fantastic handmade and DIY creations from amateurs or real designers. The rest are just there to make their statement "hello, i am here!". They are, but not for me.
Ps if you want to post reviews, don't be anonymous.

Lady, before you slag us off get your facts straight. You are mixing Holy Mustache vintage in Palados str. Psirri with Treasure house for one.
I will agree with Al=, as one of the designers from the Meet Market i feel your post is super rude, malicious and unnecessary.
Having a laptop and a voice does not, a fashion blogger make and by the way, crap is a singular noun (therefore does not take an s i.e. craps ).

First thing is that i am not a lady! There are male bloggers too you know.
Secondly, when i asked there about this stand they told me that it was the Treasure House and not the Holy Mustache as you are saying. As you may guess, i am taking the official answer of the Meet Market more seriously than your declaration about the name.
3rd: I don't care how you feel about my post. It's my personal view and i am proud of it. Bloggers are meant to express their opinions freely Besides this, 40 people liked it, so it's ok for me!
Last but not least: you are trying to correct my english grammar when i have a whole statement there which was remained unanswered. Well, that's your point? All you have to say is about the extra -s? LOL!!
