Dolce&Gabbana "DRESS ME UP" The windows bloggers: watch me chatting with BryanBoy at 1:20

Stella McCartney Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Minimal luxury based on polka dots, puffed up sleeves, asymmetrical cut-outs, voluminous shapes versus tight silhouettes, several dot motifs and abstract patterns. I am never in favor of Stella McCartney's minimalism, but this time i guess the collection looks more chic and luxury than her previous ones.

Hermes Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

It was Christophe Lemaire's debut for Hermes (after the last show of Gaultier saying goodbye with real horses) and he certainly wanted to pay tribute to the heritage of this great "maison" adding his personal touch: a more colorful (not too colorful), sportier and more wearable collection. He was fully based on soft leathers, double-faced cashmere coats, geometric prints of yellow, orange and blue, and fantastic oversized bags. The highlights for me were the blanket fringed coats, the monastic full-length suede tunics and the brown leather boots to above the knee. But why i see live birds (hawks) instead of Birkins and Kellys? In this case, i would love to go haunting!

Givenchy Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

We expected a sophisticated and romantic gothic collection by Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy, but we were surprised. His main theme of the season, the panther’s face, was present everywhere and completed with gold chained collar on a basically monochromatic palette: it was on sheer black skirts, shiny black blazers with patent lapels and satin sweatshirts with the same gold chain printed around the neck and wrists. Then the prints came back in yellow, with velvet leggings under fur and pony skin skirts worn beneath a golden, round necked silk jacket. I liked the whole idea of this collection, but the highlights for me were the velvet sunglasses and leggings.

Vogue UK April 2011

And finally the Vogue UK April issue is out! Why am i so thrilled? Because this time, the magazine is featuring an interview with the dynamic fashion duo Dolce&Gabbana not made by editors, but by readers and bloggers. And guess what! One of them that has been chosen is me! My question was about their sexuality and how it affects their designs. Let's see what they have answered me!

John Galliano and Demo..nocrasy..

We all heard about the amateur video with John Galliano expressing racist language against a population team. All though nobody knows really WHY he did such thing, many famous and not people are now after him. Also why this language is forbidden like we actually live in a fascist world from the Other Side? I am sure that John has Jewish friends, knows the story of holocaust and especially about the lgbt victims, allthough it is not about this target group that always pretents to be victimised, forgetting the victims of Palestine that Israeli nation is causing, it is about the powerfull Jewish lobby, which holds a decent part of fashion market. It is amazing that nobody knows that Capitalist Germany forced Greece to free the War Murderers of Nazi occupation and that all Capitalist countries used these former nazi partners for several reasons and sectors. This hypocrisy of fashion world is disgusting. What happened to Tommy Hilfinger when he said that he dislikes seeing black, chinese, hindu and greek people wearing his clothes? Nothing! Let's talk clearly now. Everyone has the right to have whatever opinion he wants, John has been traped, this is real fascism and hypocrisy. Fashion world industry kills thousands from establishing anorectic stereotypes, killing animals to make fancy furs, causing environmental disasters and also who they are kidding? They and actually You never cared about human rights before, only if they were about to acompany a popular fashion show.

Freedom (..of Speech) to John Galliano.

John Galliano Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Sumptuous materials, luxurious gowns, vintage furs, glamorous hats, dramatic silhouettes and high octane 30s and 40s glamour. It's too sad that this is the last collection by John Galliano under his namesake brand. The highlight of today's presentation was for me a tapering, kimono-coat, in celadon-green, lavishly embroidered, and embellished with black fox, evoked Galliano's fascination with the 1920's.

Kenzo Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Antonio Marras was inspired by Mexico, flower motifs and Frida Kahlo for this season. It was all about the prints in a rich earthy color palette of brown and beige showing loose-fitting silhouettes accented by crimson and gold jacquard detailing. The collection payed tribute to arty bohemian and gypsy chic at its best in a carnival set. I loved the furs (of course!), the big knits, the chiffons, the brocades and the flowing skirts. Apart from the clothes, the set was amazing and i also liked the make up: very strong and boyish brows and a vino stained lips.

Comme des Garçons | Paris Fashion Week

Gold is the new color, according to Rei Kawakubo, who played with hybrid fashion: half-man, half-woman, on the one side jacket and pants, on the other a silk blouse, front view a python trench, back view shorts. Diversity is the key for this collection.

Céline Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Inspired by the interiors of vintage cars, British designer Phoebe Philo played with bold stripes and wood paneling prints. The Celine woman is chic and sophisticated, but personally i am not really into all this minimalism. Nevertheless, i have to mention that the whole idea of holding the bags as clutches instead of carrying them by their handles is making me fly! In one word Celine dressed up the girls looking like boys!

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

His autumn/winter 2011 collection was a witty take on age, which Jean Paul Gaultier called "how to look young - without Botox." "No corsets, no flesh! It's quite ladylike. I can't believe it," said Jean Paul Gaultier, the inventor of Madonna's rocket-cone bra! The designer referred to Catherine Deneuve in 'Belle de Jour" with a touch of "Mad Men". He balanced between the retro chic and the modern. On the catwalk models had gray beehives (which were teased into exaggerated French pleat hairstyles) with retro wear inspired by the ’50s and ’60s. The highlights for me were: a) when Andrej Pejic, the gender-bender star also walked at the show, b) the fact that the French comedienne, Valerie Lemercier, aged 46, opened the show (performing a semi-strip tease) and also closed it and c) when the girls took off layers and threw them to the end of the catwalk (perhaps symbolizing the free spirit of fashion). I guess Jean Paul Gaultier is from another planet! For me, this is his best year of all!

Sonia Rykiel Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Signature knits, stripes and plaids paired with fur boas in a color palette of bubble gum pink and canary yellow. Apart from the clothes what i really liked on that show was the fact that the models stood by fences, talked with one another and even took a rest on a bench giving a casual look to the whole event. Love Sonia Rykiel!

Haider Ackermann Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Asymmetrical silhouettes with velvet, silk and satin materials, slinky silhouettes and wide leather belts in a sleek and futuristic vision for this season. So Haider Ackermann is replacing Karl Lagerfeld once he retired at Chanel or John Galliano at Dior?

Viktor & Rolf Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Viktor & Rolf looked towards the Medieval and the Silver age to create this fantastic collection based on avant garde shapes with armor-like pleats, white and black leather, metallic shades in dresses, red -like sun burned- faces and large flower motifs. This fashion Dutch design duo speaks to my heart, always, and this time with their robotic army at the catwalk and the extra wide belts made me love them more!

Isabel Marant Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Psychedelic patterns, mini skirts, tribal patterns and fringe detailing for a rock and roll feeling inspired by 70s. For me, this collection was more "american" than french with all these denims.

Yohji Yamamoto Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Kaleidoscopic prints, fish netting, punk rock underones, combat boots, leather jackets, cotton candy haired and wire hoop skirts for a street wear plus a rebellious and dramatic effect inspired by 70s.

Lanvin Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Wide brim hats and dramatic capes for elegant yet mysterious look. Alber Elbaz proves that one hasn't to be insane to be a (fashion) genious!

Do It Yourself

Ok now, can you really believe this FANTASTIC patterns? This time my posh friend "Rebel of Arts" crossed the line of immaturity and passed to a higher artistic level, playing with all these collages and paying tribute to some of the greatest greek artists, like the worldwide known opera singer Maria Kallas, the one and only greek actor and Oscar holder Katina Paxinou, the legend of modern pop and fashion icon Anna Vissi and of course the "last Greek Goddess" Melina Merkouri. And what's the craziest part of all? I am collaborating with him in our first "Do It Yourself" clothes session in order to have the chance to wear them at the upcoming fashion weeks in Athens. Stunning!

Christian Dior Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Signature romantic Parisian flair as expected in a deep burgundy, gothic black and emerald green color palette. This is the last collection by John Galliano for Dior after his recent anti-Semitic remarks. Well, the show must go on and Dior house has to survive even without the great couturier...

Nina Ricci Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Creative director Peter Copping played with wrinkled materials, slouchy pants, bright pastels and crystal embellishments for ladylike silhouettes.

Fashion party hosted by Minas Minatsis: PARTHENIS, 40 years style at Yoga Bala.

Me in my new Prada fur and
Orsalia Parthenis with her unique minimal style.
Tonight (3/3/11) i had the chance to attend the second fashion party at Yoga Bala hosted by Minas Minatsis. This time the audience had the opportunity to watch the first video presentation of Parthenis' house, celebrating 40 years of (ancient greek) style. The film was made by Roberta Nitsos and the music by Chris Kontos. I can't tell you much more about the well known and fabulous style of Parthenis, as i have blogged about it many times, but you will have the chance to see for yourselves the photos i took from the presentation (after the click), as well as the video at my facebook fan page: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=199045040125558&oid=277057640951&comments. Maggie bought this bag in orange after my advice.
Doesn't she looks gorgeous?
Tonight (3/3/11) i had the chance to attend the presentation of the new Loewe bags collection designed by Stuart Vevers. I had the opportunity to touch all these fantastic bags, and i can assure you for the quality of the leathers used at these top class products. Also, i really loved all these new collection colors. So, i guess in this case quality meets poshly a playful, yet chic look.
Apart from the bags, i had the chance to meet the stunning Maggie Xaralampidou, famous dj and -as proved- a fashion icon. She was so friendly with me that i still can't believe it! We talked about my blog, my visit in Milan and the chance of meeting D.Dolce and S.Gabbana (we both agreed that the dynamic duo is very friendly). She also gave me her mail and cellphone number, so that we can stay in touch and arrange a meeting. Besides this, she invited me at her next dj set party hosted at Galaxy Bar Hilton Athens on Saturday 2nd of April. And the craziest part? She told me that  i can celebrate my birthday with her on the same day! I promised her the sweetest birthday cake and she promised me back to sing for "Mr. T." (me) the Happy Birthday song, as Marilyn Monroe did for Mr. President! Hilarious and lovely! Thank you Maria Patrikiou for a great event and i am very pleased to meet you :)

Rick Owens Fall 2011 | Paris Fashion Week

Dramatic sci-fi black, electric blue and gold color palette.

"Dress Me Up" event at Dolce&Gabbana store Milan: when i met Stefano Gabbana, Domenico Dolce, Anna Dello Russo, BryanBoy and Denni from ChicMuse.

The "Dress Me Up" event took place at Dolce and Gabbana boutique (via Spiga) after their fashion show on Sunday 27th of February. It was a great chance for me to meet all these fantastic and fashionably posh people from close (really close) and have a great time at their chic party. I have to mention that all of them were very friendly to me and the whole atmosphere with all the wine, the music and the fashion crowd was very elegant. Apart from watching live the remix of clothes styling and window display, i also had the chance to capture the power fashion duo of Dolce and Gabbana, the fashion icon and beloved person Anna Dello Russo and two of my favorite worldwide-known bloggers, BryanBoy and Denni from ChicMuse. My mind is still there!

Tonight i had the chance to attend "Denim Dreams 3" at Beton7, an event organised by Ozon Raw magazine. The exhibiting photographers -joining forces with some of the biggest denim brands like Levi's, Wesc, Pepe and among others- were Nikolas Ventourakis, Marios Kalamaris, Yiorgos Kaplanidis, George Malekakis, Nikos Katsaros, Yiorgos Mavropoulos, Thanos Tsakonas and Christos Sarris.

Carven at Zilly

Carven is now available at "Zilly" stores at Kolonaki, Glyfada, inside "Golden Hall" and Kifissia. I love the color palette selected for these elegant and boho chic small dresses designed by Guillaume Henry for Carven. For this season the inspiration came from traveling, minimalism, the treasures of Egypt and the simplicity of ancient Greece.

Τall painting, an innovative idea.

An innovative painting technic from a New York artist Holton Rower. Expresionism together with pop art, beautiful colours dripping and flowing upon geometrical bases.

Lady Gaga born this way...tribute to 80's!

New video clip from the Monster hollymother is absolutely ingenious. A tribute to the stars of cinema and music of 80's while expressing new theories and ideas for what is beauty and what is acceptable. Fashion recycles and it seems that the decade of 1980 needs to be rediscovered and even reinvented again.
Let's watch again the amazing video clip and check on these modern, but 80's style, art pictures above, by a Finish graphic designer Sakke Soini.
