Mona Kuhn, best known for her large-scale, dream-like photographs of nudes, is one of the most significant artists working in photography today. She has described her work as redefining ways of looking at the body. Kuhn often develops close relationships with her subjects, resulting in images of remarkable naturalness and intimacy. She brought this talent for unforced sensuality to the Cruise 2011-2012 collection, shot on the roof of the New Museum in New York City. Her precise approach to light and color, and the freshness of her images, captured the contrasts of the collection: saturated hues against refined neutrals, and weightlessness balanced by sophisticated structure.
